Spring News Bulletin

May 6th, 2008

The Board of Directors meeting on May 5th went very well. Documents written in the past few months, including our new constitution, we’re revised and approved. We went over the posted information about GEN CON 2008 as well as some information about CATTG CON 2010. We also reviewed our programs. I’m very pleased to announce the Philanthropy and Sponsor Programs are up and running. All paperwork pertaining to them is completed and is ready to be viewed on the Programs Page of this site.

Next meeting is June 2nd. This is a Board of Directors meeting, but all interested in attending GEN CON 2008 should attend. Very important information on the trip will be discussed. Take care, and student members, I hope your spring exams went very well.

Document Writing

February 29th, 2008

We have a new document system on our Google Docs account. We need assistance in researching and writing the following: Program Documentation, New Constitution, Forms, and Self-Sustainable Procedures.

If you haven’t guessed, we’re trying to do some project delegation to get this year’s projects moving quicker. Anyone that wishes to help out (any member of any club, not limited to presidents or representatives) should contact me ASAP by emailing me directly at:

New Services

February 11th, 2008

In order to prepare for our new Philanthropy System, we will be utilizing better ways to keep official documents in order. I’m pleased to announce that we have teamed up with Google Apps™ to provide some new services for us and for our chapters. These include:

  • An email address with 6 gigs of space
  • A calendar linked to that email address that can be easily displayed on your chapters site (like this one).
  • Easy way to keep your documents like your constitution up to date and in one place without version-issues.
  • Easy way to keep your information like gaming libraries updated (like this one).
  • Free voice calling between our chapters using Google Talk.

These are just some of the bigger benefits we will be getting from Google.
